On the Family Life Quality of Beijing Workers at the Beginning of the Republic of China (1949-1955)

纵观共和国初期北京工人家庭生活质量,虽较1949年前有较明显改善,但仍处于生存性阶段,客观生活质量较低。与之相应的是主观生活质量的高低与文娱、体育活动的参与并无太大联系,而取决于是否结婚、是否吃饱、穿暖、欠债等实际生活考量。

In the early days of the CPC,although the life quality of Beijing workers’families was improved compared with that before liberation,it was still on the stage of survival.And the objective quality of life was relatively low.Correspondingly,the subjective quality of life is not closely related to the participation of entertainment and sports activities,but depends on the actual life consideration such as marriage,food and clothing,debt etc.
