Study on the Navy System of the Northern Song Dynasty

北宋初年的统一战争是北宋水军高速发展的一个时期,然而随着战争结束,战略重心的北移,水军地位下降。北宋基本统一后,水军在禁军、厢军和土军中都有建制,禁军水军主要驻扎在开封和登州地区,厢军水军和土军水军主要分布在南方地区。厢军水军又是北宋水军的中坚力量,其番号复杂、驻地较广。北宋中后期,土军中也设立了水军。从编制、驻地、番号和功能等方面对北宋水军的建制进行研究。

The unification War in the early Northern Song Dynasty was a period of rapid development of the Northern Song Dynasty’s navy.However,with the end of the war and the shift of strategic center to the north,the status of the navy declined.After the Northern Song was basically unified,the Central army,Local army and Indigenous forces were all organized.The Central army was mainly stationed in Kaifeng and Dengzhou,while the Local army and the Indigenous forces were mainly distributed in the south.Local navy was the backbone of the Northern Song Dynasty navy with its complex designation and a wider location.In the middle and later period of the Northern Song Dynasty,the Indigenous forces also established navy.A preliminary study is made on the constitution of the Northern Song navy from the perspectives of establishment,station,designation and function.
