The Perplexity and Trend of Higher Education in Journalism and Communication in China

新闻传播高等教育的发展离不开对传媒产业长期审视所积累起来的认知成果。如今,技术浪潮驱动下,传媒产业数据化、融合化、平台化、智能化趋势显著,新闻传播高等教育却迟迟无法跟进产业进化,陷入发展困惑。其主要原因有三:一是未能完全摆脱“刻舟求剑”“削足适履”的错误观念;二是对接产业实践的基础设施建设与运维存在不足;三是传统的知识生产方式导致知识体系更新滞后。在此情况下,新闻传播高等教育要革新教育理念,加快结构性调整改革,同时思考建设知识共享协作平台的可行性方案,强化产业资源对接。

The development of higher education in journalism and communication is inseparable from the cognitive achievements accumulated through long-term review of the media industry.Nowadays,driven by the technological wave,the digitization,integration,platformization,and intellectualization of the media industry have significant trends,but higher education in journalism and communication failed to follow up with the evolution of the media industry,and has fallen into development confusion.There are three main reasons:first,it is difficult to get rid of the erroneous concept of"carving boat for sword"and"cutting the foot to fit the shoes";second,there are still many deficiencies in the construction and operation of the infrastructure for docking the practices of the media industry;third,the traditional way of knowledge production leads to the lagging of the knowledge system.Under this circumstance,higher education in journalism and communication should innovate educational concepts,accelerate structural adjustment and reform,and at the same time plan feasibly to build a knowledge sharing and collaboration platform,and strengthen the docking of industrial resources.
