The Progress,Challenge and Suggestions of Telco Edge Cloud

边缘计算是5G网络的重要应用场景之一,目前有众多标准组织、产业联盟在这个领域进行研究。文章对当前电信边缘云的研究和标准进展进行了总结,并分析了目前实际部署实践中遇到的解决方案分散化、应用生态建设困难、云网边端协同缺乏深入研究的问题,最后对如何应对这些挑战给出了在标准化和产业推动方面的建议。

Edge computing is one of the most important scenarios of 5G network.Currently,there are many standard bodies and organizations working in this area.This paper summaries the latest progress of the study and standardization of the Telco Edge Cloud,and describes the challenges met in real deployment and application:e.g.,various reference architectures and implementations,difficulty in building the edge application ecosystem,lack of alignment among edge,device,mobile network and cloud,etc.Finally,the paper gives suggestions to address these challenges.
