势:一种理解现代公益的本土视角——从公益情势中民间行善的重塑说起

Propensity:A Local Perspective of Understanding Philanthropy in China

本文从"势"的视角切入,通过叙述某民间公益组织成立与重塑的过程,来呈现传统行善经验与国家力量的具体相遇;并借由分析各种情势共同塑造复杂公益情势的故事,探讨将"势"作为一种理解与思考当代中国社会现实及变迁的分析视角的可能性。作为分析视角的"势"一方面超越了"静-动""状态-生成""情况-演变"的对立,另一方面突破了"宏观-微观""总体-个体"的对立;从而既可为"国家-社会"框架引入关注不同领域之间因应变化之动力与过程的思考起点,又可为"国家-社会"框架引入关注"人"及其能动性的维度。作为一种具有本土意涵的概念与分析视角,"势"之于社会科学研究的意义值得继续探讨。

This paper presents the specific encounter between traditional charity and state power by describing the process of the establishment and reconstruction of a NGO from the perspective of"propensity".By analyzing various situations shaping the complex philanthropy situation,this paper discusses the possibility of taking"propensity"as an analytical perspective to understand the social changes of contemporary China.As an analytical perspective,"propensity"transcends the opposition of"static-dynamic","being-emerging"and"situation-evolution"on the one hand,and breaks through the opposition of"macro-micro"and"totality-individual"on the other hand.Thus,we can introduce a perspective of focusing on the dynamics as well as"people"and their agencies for the"state-society"framework.As a local concept and analytical perspective,the significance of"propensity"in social science research is worthy of further discussion.
