The Characteristics and Mechanism of Population Urbanization in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle

通过分析成渝地区双城经济圈人口城市化的空间路径、现状特征和动力机制,归纳了2000—2018年成渝地区双城经济圈人口城市化呈现的特征和规律:(1)常住人口从减少到平稳缓慢增加,人口城市化的空间路径表现为向大城市、中心城市聚集,整体上具有“大分散、小聚集”的特征。(2)城市化整体处于中等水平,且与经济发展水平呈正相关,但内部各地区城市化水平区际差异较大,成都和重庆(主城区)的城市化水平较高,形成明显的梯级分化,中心城市的虹吸作用显著。(3)西部大开发战略和产业结构的转型升级有利于流动人口就业和城市化进程的推进。

Based on the analysis of the spatial path,current status characteristics and dynamic mechanism of population urbanization in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,this paper summarizes the characteristics and laws of population urbanization in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle from 2000 to 2018:(1)The scale of the permanent population has increased steadily and slowly from decreasing,and the spatial path of population urbanization is shown as gathering to big cities and central cities,with the characteristics of“large dispersion and small aggregation”on the whole.(2)The overall level of urbanization is at a medium level,which is positively correlated with the level of economic development.However,the urbanization level of each region varies greatly among regions.The urbanization level of Chengdu and Chongqing(the main urban area)is higher,forming obvious cascade differentiation,and the siphon effect of central cities is significant.(3)The western development strategy and the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure make urban construction and the development of tertiary industry play an important role in the employment of floating population,which is an important reason to boost the urbanization process.
