美国高校对传统个人图书馆员项目的改进研究及启示

Enlightenments from the Research on the Improvement of the Traditional Personal Librarian Project in American Universities

美国耶鲁大学医学院在1996年最先实施个人图书馆员项目并取得良好成效,其他美国高校纷纷效仿,并在传统个人图书馆员项目上做出调整。文章采用文献调查法和网站调研法,介绍了3所对传统项目进行改进的美国高校的个人图书馆员项目进展,发掘创新之处及所遇挑战,最终得出宝贵经验:我国高校在有需求且有能力的条件下,可以适时引入个人图书馆员项目,因校制宜,为本校师生提供更高质量的参考咨询服务。

Yale University School of Medicine in the United States first implemented the personal librarian project in 1996 and achieved good results.Other American universities followed suit and made adjustments to the traditional personal librarian project.This research,using the literature survey method and the website survey method,introduces the progress of personal librarian projects in 3 American universities that improved traditional projects.It explores how they innovated and got over difficulties and finally draws valuable experience.We can,according to the demands and abilities of different universities,introduce personal librarian projects to them to better provide consultations for both students and teachers.
