Tara’s Epiphany—Breaking Through The Cacodoxy

Educated is a memoir of Tara Westover,telling about her life experience growing up in her father’s junkyard before she was 17 years old,through self-learning getting to go to the BYU and finally obtaining her PhD.from Cambridge University.Due to her extreme Mormon father and the distorted thoughts instilled by him,Tara fell into life dilemmas for many times during a long time,but relying on constant education,Tara stumbled and rushed out without hesitation,grasped the life-saving rope of education,realized epiphanies again and again in the plight and pain of life,and successfully changed her life.This paper will analyze the causes of Tara’s epiphanies from three aspects,and discuss how Tara can constantly achieve self-breakthrough and realize epipha⁃ny again and again in the impact of confusion and contradiction,as well as the significance of epiphany to her life.
