Reliability and Validity of Brief and Super Brief Version of Pathological Narcissism Inventory in Chinese Offenders

目的:检验简版和超级简版病理性自恋量表(B-PNI;SB-PNI)在中国罪犯群体中的信效度。方法:530名罪犯完成了B-PNI和SB-PNI,其中有493人还完成了自恋人格问卷(NPI)、过度敏感自恋量表(HSNS)、人格诊断问卷-4(PDQ-4)的自恋人格障碍(NPD)和反社会人格障碍(ASPD)维度、冲动-预谋攻击量表(IPAS)、特质愤怒量表(TAS)、攻击问卷(AQ)敌意维度以及完整版的PNI。结果:①B-PNI和SB-PNI具有良好的结构效度、内部一致性信度和分半信度。②B-PNI和SB-PNI与NPI、HSNS、NPD三个测量自恋的工具存在中等程度相关,并与ASPD、IPAS、TAS、AQ敌意维度等非适应性特点存在中等程度正相关。③B-PNI和SB-PNI与各效标的相关系数与完整版PNI基本一致。结论:B-PNI与SB-PNI在中国罪犯群体中信效度良好,体现了自恋的病理性特点,且基本准确地涵盖了完整版PNI的内容,可以有效地提高测验效率,值得做进一步的使用和推广。

Objective: To examine the reliability and validity of Brief version and Super Brief version of Pathological Narcissism Inventory(B-PNI;SB-PNI) in Chinese offenders. Methods: A total of 530 offenders completed the B-PNI and SB-PNI, and 493 of them completed Narcissistic Personality Inventory(NPI), Hypersensitivity Narcissistic Scale(HSNS),the Narcissism Personality Disorder(NPD) and Antisocial Personality Disorder(ASPD) dimension of Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire(PDQ-4), Impulsive/Premeditated Aggression Scales(IPAS), Trait Anger Scale(TAS) and hostile dimension of Aggression Questionnaire(AQ) and full version of PNI to test the criterion validity. Results:①B-PNI and SB-PNI are good in reliability and structure validity.②B-PNI and SB-PNI have a positive correlation with other tools on narcissism(NPI, HSNS, NPD) and tools for measuring maladaptation traits(ASPD, IPAS, TAS, Hostile dimension of AQ).③The correlation coefficients between B-PNI, SB-PNI and criterion tools are basically consistent with those of the full version of PNI.Conclusion: B-PNI and SB-PNI have good reliability and validity in Chinese offenders, which reflect the pathological characteristics of narcissism, and basically accurately cover the content of the full version of PNI. The brief versions PNI can improve the measurement efficiency and is worthy of further use and promotion.
