Methods: 3441 middle school students from in Chongqing were selected by convenient sampling method to fill the Subjective Trauma Exposure Questionnaire, Child PTSD Symptom Scale, Family Invalidation Questionnaire and Distress Disclosure Index. Results: 29.90% of adolescents had high risk symptoms of PTSD;Subjective trauma exposure positively predicted PTSD;Self-disclosure was the mediating variable of subjective trauma exposure to PTSD;And family invalidation moderated the effect of self-disclosure to adolescent’s PTSD. Conclusion: Subjective trauma exposure can cause PTSD symptoms in adolescents through the mediation of selfdisclosure. Compared with individuals with high family invalidation, self-disclosure can relieve PTSD symptoms more quickly among adolescents with low family invalidation.
