The studies of address terms in foreign countries follow the philosophical path of western academic research,and focuses on theoretical construction and innovation of research methods.One key direction in their study of address terms is the expression of address terms under the theoretical framework and the theoretical development under the address terms system.From the perspective of observing the interaction between language and society,scholars have found and established the systematic operation theory of address terms.The theories of pragmatics,semantics,culture and sociology have been introduced into the study of address forms,which play an important role in explaining the use of address terms.The foreign studies focus on the development,discussion,query and verification of address theory,seek for the expressive theory of address system itself,introducing the theories of other disciplines with an open attitude and diversity.
