五象论视域下《老残游记》中诗歌翻译比较研究

摘要 辜正坤提出的五象论是鉴赏诗歌及诗歌翻译比较成熟的理论。五象论视域下对《老残游记》杨宪益、戴乃迭译本和哈罗德·谢迪克译本对比分析,旨在对《老残游记》这部作品中诗歌译文部分的质量做出客观全面的评价。研究发现,两个译本从五个视角既展现了原诗的风采,又具有译者特色。杨译本在视象美、事象美、味象美和义象美这四个方面都有较好的呈现;谢译本从韵式、节奏等方面都与原诗一致,突出了原诗的音象美。因此五象论为汉诗英译及译文翻译批评提供了有力的美学理论依据。 The Five Beauties Theory put forward by Gu Zhengkun is a comprehensive theoretic system appreciating poetry and poetry translations.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the poetry in the novel The Travels of Lao Can translation objectively and comprehensively through a comparative study of Yang Xianyi’s translation and Shadick’s translation from a perspective of Gu Zhengkun’s Five Beauties Theory.The research finds that the two translations represent the beauties of the original poetry with their own styles.Shadick’s translation conforms with the original poetry in terms of rhyme and rhythm from the perspective of sound beauty while Yang Xianyi’s translation vision beauty,quotation beauty,taste beauty and implication beauty.Thus Five Beauties Theory is the powerful aesthetic theoretical basis not only for the translation of Chinese poetry into English but also for translation criticism.
