Influence of May 30th Movement on National Finance Development

一百年来,我国金融业经历了从无到有、从小到大、从弱到强的曲折发展历程。中国共产党领导的第一场反帝爱国运动——五卅运动是民族金融发展的重要转折点。以五卅运动为主线,分析中国的经济抵制行为对中资银行发展的影响。研究发现,五卅运动极大地促进了民族金融发展。一是货币发行权从外资银行部分收回,紊乱的货币流通体系趋于统一;二是中外资银行的力量对比发生了明显变化,中资银行资本总额和存款总量显著上升,外资银行的存款额下降;三是削弱了外资企业对华贸易的垄断势力,其在华利润锐减。在中国共产党的领导下,民族金融一步步冲破国外金融资本的压迫而不断发展、壮大。

In the past 100 years, China financial industry has experienced a tortuous development process from non-existence to existence, from small to large, and from weak to strong. The May 30 th Movement, the first anti-imperialist and patriotic movement led by the Communist Party of China, is an important turning point in the development of national finance. Taking the May 30 th Movement as the main line, this study analyzes the influence of China economic boycott on the development of Chinese banks. It is found that the May 30 th Movement has greatly promoted the development of national finance. Firstly, the right to issue money is partially recovered from foreign banks, and the disordered currency circulation system tends to be unified. Secondly, the power contrast between Chinese banks and foreign banks has changed significantly with the total amount of total Chinese capital deposits increasing significantly and the amount of deposits of foreign banks decreasing. Thirdly, the monopoly power of foreign-funded enterprises in China’s trade is sharply weakened and their profits in China are reduced. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, national finance has broken through the oppression of foreign financial capital step by step and has been continuously growing stronger.
