凌惕安《笋香室日记》抄录了梁任公致贵州当轴的一通信札,今将其整理以飨读者。梁氏此函内容与《梁启超致籍忠寅等函》基本相同,而此内容基本相同的信在不同时间多次发出给不同的人,是梁启超为寻求滇黔两省对武装倒袁支持的试探。唐继尧、刘显世最终参加护国运动,功勋自在史册,但并非一开始就毅然决然,从这封信中可以见到一些实情。

Ling Ti'an's"Daily Records of Sunxiang Studio(笋香室日记)"recorded a letter by Liang Qichao for the military leader of Guizhou.This letter shares similar content with"Letter from Liang Qichao to Ji Zhongyin and else(梁启超致籍忠寅等函)".During this period,multiple letters of similar content were delivered to different military leaders of Guizhou and Yun'nan in an attempt to seek military support to overthrown Yuan Shikai government.Tang Jirao and Liu Xianshi eventually joined the campaign of overthrowing the Yuan's government and their efforts were greatly praised.But from these letters we can see that Tang and Liu did not join the campaign without hesitation.These letters served as a catalyst for their eventual decision.
