“水利”涵义的源与流

The origin and development of“Shuili”

“水利”是汉语中一个常用的词汇,然而对这一词语的起源、涵义的理解以及涵义的发展变化,目前学术界还缺乏系统的研究。本文探讨了“水利”一词历史起源、涵义变化以及这些变化的四个主要特征,以利于人们从历史和现实角度对水利工作的内涵与外延获得新认识与理解,也有益于做好当代水利工作。

“Shuili(水利)”is a common vocabulary in the Chinese language.However,the academic research on its origination,connotation and denotation development is not systematic.This paper discussed the origination of the Chinese word shuili(水利)from the aspects of its core meanings and derivative meanings during different times,and the four characteristics of the meanings’development,to helppeople get new a new understanding and understanding of the word’s connotation and denotation from both historic and realistic perspectives,which will help people play better in dealing with current water-related issues.
