IFIA’s Action and Public Libraries’Role in Global Internet Governance

网络空间命运共同体的主张背景下,互联网治理这一全球性问题的解决不能缺少公共图书馆的参与。国际图联在各种互联网治理议题中表明立场,并为此以实际行动推动全球互联网治理格局。公共图书馆在信息获取、信息平等、信息素养方面释放出强烈的正外部效应,应扮演好全球互联网治理问题上的话语讨论者和参与者的重要角色,坚定全球互联网治理体系中的信息服务主流地位和包容发展责任使命,成为推进全球互联网治理体系变革的重要变量。

In response to the proposition of building a global community with a shared cyberspace future,public libraries should play a more active role in global Internet governance.IFLA has stated its position on various Internet governance issues,and has taken concrete actions to promote the global Internet governance pattern.As discussants and participants in global Internet governance,public libraries have become an important variable to push forward the reform of the global Internet governance system.They should do more in the improvement of information access,information equality and information literacy,so as to strengthen their key role in information service and inclusive development in the global Internet governance system.
