Algorithm:An Evolution of Culture or a Control of Desire

算法是人类心灵的造物,但今天的算法是人们应对和处理大数据的手段。科技理性的膨胀使得算法成为一个外在于我们又控制我们的手段。算法并不创造欲望,其只是复制人们的欲望对象,资本则通过算法收编人类欲望。然而欲望本身具有创造力,欲望作为生产机器有其合理性的一面,算法中则有非理性的一面。传统文化是缓和算法所代表的科技理性冲击的有效人文空间。

The algorithm is a creation of the human mind,but today’s algorithm is the means by which people deal with and process big data.The expansion of technological rationality has made the algorithm a means that is external to us but can control us at the same time.The algorithm does not create desires but only replicates the objects of desires,while capital incorporates people’s desires through the algorithm.Desire is creative in itself,and it has its rational side as a production machine.However,the algorithm has an irrational side.Traditional culture is the effective humanistic space to mitigate the impact of the technological rationality represented by the algorithm.
