Reasons and Influence of Koreans Moving into Northeast China During the New Deal Period in the Late Qing Dynasty

清末新政时期,有近50万左右的朝鲜移民迁入中国东北境内。据史料分析可知,大批朝鲜移民迁入的原因主要有:清末新政期间东北地区原有封禁政策的废弛;晚清政府为加速东北开发,抵抗外国侵略需要大量的人力资源;朝鲜境内自然灾害的连年频发;朝鲜国内“势道政治”时期的不良政治生态环境;朝鲜民众饱受日本侵略者的欺压与凌辱,等等。众多朝鲜人移入中国东北地区后,在诸多领域产生了重大影响,主要表现在:加速开发了久经封禁的中国东北土地,为促进东北经济的发展做出贡献;为朝鲜族移民文学的发展与成熟奠定了基础;萌生了不同类型的朝鲜移民社会团体;加剧了清政府与日本之间的国际争端。

During the New Deal period in the late Qing Dynasty,about half a million Korean immigrants moved into Northeast China.According to historical data analysis,the main reasons for this large immigration are:(1)the abolition of the original ban policy in Northeast China during the New Deal period in the late Qing Dynasty because the late Qing government needed a lot of human resources to accelerate the development of Northeast China and resist foreign aggression;(2)natural disasters in North Korea occurred frequently year after year;(3)the bad political ecological environment in the period of power politics in North Korea;(4)the Korean people were oppressed and humiliated by the Japanese aggressors,and so on.Those immigrated Koreans greatly influenced China in speeding up the development of the long-banned land in Northeast China,making contributions to promoting the economic development of Northeast China,laying a foundation for the development and maturity of Korean immigrant literature,preparing for the emergence of different types of Korean immigrant social groups,and aggravating the international dispute between the Qing Government and Japan.
