In late April this year,I was doing field research in a county called Metok in Nyingchi,the Tibet Autonomous Region(TAR).The place is also known as the"Secret Land of Lotus."I was told that a college graduate pair had started a homestay and fruit orchard in a village called Deshing in the county,so I drove to the village with a local guide to find out about the young entrepreneurs from the Menpa minority group.
