An Analysis of the Status Quo of Egypt’s Knowledge Economy

对照世界银行关于衡量知识经济发展水平的四项指标,近年来埃及在知识经济领域取得了明显进步,实现了快速发展,在中东、北非区域内体现出一定的优势,呈现出巨大的发展潜力。同时一系列制约因素使埃及知识经济发展面临挑战,这就需要政府进一步稳定政治经济环境,企业深入调整优化产业布局、提高自主科研能力。

In contrast to the World Bank’s four indicators for measuring development level of the knowledge economy,Egypt has made significant progress in the field of knowledge economy in recent years and achieved rapid development.It shows certain advantages in the Middle East and North Africa regions,showing huge development potential.However,there are also a series of restrictive factors that make the development of Egypt’s knowledge economy face challenges.This requires the government to further stabilize the political and economic environment,and enterprises to further optimize and adjust the industrial layout and improve independent scientific research capabilities.
