Objective:To investigate the effect of attention bias modification training(ABMT) in adolescents with anxiety disorders. Methods:Sixty adolescent patients with anxiety disorders meeting ICD-10 diagnostic criteria were included. They were randomly divided into the attentional bias modification training group(AB group, n=30) and the repeated exposure group(NAB group, n=30).The AB group received attention bias modification training for 10 consecutive days, while the NAB group received no attention bias modification training for 10 consecutive days. Before and after training, the attentional bias test was used to evaluate the accuracy and the response time of attentional bias for negative and neutral stimuli and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI) was used to evaluate the change of anxiety. Results:After training, the change amplitude of attention bias in AB group was greater than that in NAB group [(16.3±8.2) msvs.(-6.6±5.9) ms, P<0.05].And the reduction of state anxiety scores in STAI in AB group was greater than that in NAB group [(7.5±5.0) vs.(4.1±5.9),P<0.05].Conclusion:Attentional bias modification training could reduce the state anxiety of hospitalized adolescents with anxiety disorders more effectively.
