空巢老人抑郁症状与代际支持和互联网使用的关系

Relation of depressive symptoms to intergenerational support and internet use in empty nest elderly

目的:研究空巢老人抑郁症状与代际支持、互联网使用的关系。方法:使用中国家庭追踪调查2018年数据,选取年龄≥60岁、至少有1名在世子女且与在世子女不同住的老人826例。采用流调中心抑郁量表(CES-D)测量抑郁症状,通过经济支持、照料支持、与子女见面和联系频率测量子女对老年人提供的代际支持。采用多元线性回归分析探讨抑郁症状与代际支持的关系,采用交互作用分析检验互联网使用的调节作用。结果:空巢老人CES-D得分与不规律的照料支持、以月为单位的照料支持、不规律的联系频率正向关联(β=1.28、1.13、1.38),与不规律的见面频率、以周为单位的联系频率负向关联(β=-1.07、-1.11)。互联网使用与不规律联系的交互项有统计学意义(β=-6.09)。结论:空巢老人抑郁症状与代际支持有关,使用互联网将有助于缓解代际支持缺失导致的抑郁症状风险。

Objective:To study the relation of depressive symptoms to inter generational support and internet use in empty nest elderly.Methods:A total of 826 subjects aged over 60 years,with at least one living child and not living with all the offspring were selected from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)in 2018.Depression symp­toms were measured with the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression(CES-D),and intergenerational support provided by children to the elderly was measured by financial support,care support,frequency of meeting and con­tact with children.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between depressive symp­toms and intergenerational support,and interaction analysis was used to test the moderating effect of internet use.Results:The CES-D scores of empty nest elderly were positively associated with irregular care support,month­ly care support and irregular contact frequency(β=1.28,1.13,1.38),negatively associated with irregular meeting frequency and weekly contact frequency(β=-1.07,-1.11).The interaction between internet use and irregular contact was statistically significant(β=-6.09).Conclusion:The depressive symptoms of empty nest elderly is related to intergenerational support,and the use of the internet will help alleviate the risk of depressive.symptoms caused by lack of intergenerational support.
