New Evidence of Jiang Baoling’s Early Life and Works

蒋宝龄是清代底层文学家、艺术家,因编撰《墨林今话》而名重于世。有关蒋宝龄的生平史料呈现前略后详的特点,现有研究也多聚焦在他的后半生。从蒋宝龄的家世、早年文学活动、早年作品毁弃等方面进行探究,可以纠正现有研究的舛误,弥补蒋宝龄前半生的事迹缺失,在文学史、艺术史上具有填补空白的意义,也是丰富清代底层文学活动、文人心态研究的重要实践。

Jiang Baoling was a grass-root painter and litterateur of Qing Dynasty,who is famous for his Mo Lin Jin Hua.The historical materials about his early life are insufficient;therefore many researchers mainly focus on the latter half of his life.The research on his family background,early literary activities and early works can correct the mistakes in the existing research and fill in the blanks in the research on the first half of his life.It is of great significance for the study on the history of literature and art,which can expand the research on the grass-root literary activities and literati’s mentality in the Qing Dynasty.
