Study on the Development of Kang Youwei’s Ideal of Seal Scripts

康有为对中国近现代艺术的影响主要集中在书法领域,历来学术界主要以其碑学思想作为研究重点,由于康有为的篆书资料较少,相关研究目前尚未深入。本文试图对康有为的习篆历程、篆书理论等方面进行梳理,提炼其篆书理想,并结合时代背景的影响,剖析康有为篆书理想的变迁。康有为的篆书理论颇丰,篆书理想高标,下笔有由且学习思路明确,但考察其现存篆书作品,实践效果与理想不相匹配,尚未达到其篆书理想的境地。

Kang Youwei’s influence on modern Chinese art is mainly concentrated in the field of calligraphy,in which the academic circle has always focused on his idea of stele.Relevant research has not been in-depth yet,due to the scarce existing materials of hisseal scripts.This paper attempts to sort out Kang Youwei’s study history,seal script theory and other aspects,to refine his ideals of seal scripts,and analyze the changes of his ideals of sealscripts combined with the influence of the times.Kang Youwei had profound seal script theory,lofty ideal of seal scripts and clear target in writing and studying.However,when his existing seal script works are studied,the practical effect does not match his ideals,and he has not yet reached the ideal state of his seal scripts.
