Analysis on the Revival of Pakistan’s Communist Movement in the 21st Century

巴基斯坦共产主义运动在21世纪显现出重振的图景。这表现在传统的共产主义政党在较长时间的沉寂后出现复苏,同时新建的共产主义和社会主义政党增多,且力量有所增长。这一现象既与巴基斯坦国内外形势的变化密切相关,也归因于巴基斯坦共产主义左翼拥有顽强的生命力。尽管如此,巴基斯坦左翼整体仍然处于巴基斯坦政治的边缘地位,实现社会主义和共产主义的目标依然任重道远。

The communist movement in Pakistan shows the landscape of revival in the 21 st century.This is reflected in the resurgence of traditional communist parties after their long period of drowsy status,and the increase of the number and power of newly-established communist and socialist parties.The revival can be attributed to the changes of international situation and Pakistan’s domestic political ecology,as well as the tenacious vitality of Pakistan’s communist left.Nonetheless,the left as a whole in Pakistan is still at the margin of Pakistan’s politics,and there is still a long way to achieve their goals of socialism and communism.
