As the population ages and obesity increases, the all-round burden of knee osteoarthritis(KOA)continues to increase.Modern studies have found that the pathogenesis of KOA is preceded by mechanical factors, and TCM theory believes that the occurrence and development of KOA are closely related to"muscles and bones imbalance".With the development of imaging and sports biomechanics, the application of lower limb hip-knee-ankle long-axis X-rays,three-dimensional motion capture, surface electromyography and other technologies can realize the mechanical evaluation of KOA muscles and bones, adding innovation to the theory of"muscles and bones imbalance"Interpretation of the modern mechanics mechanism of KOA,and analyze the theory and clinic of KOA’s"unbalance of muscle and bone force"from the perspective of biomechanics.
