摘要
人们倾向于将积极的信念、情绪、态度等赋予那些面孔具有吸引力的人,也对这样的人采取积极的行动。然而,在社会互动中,人们既依赖互动对象的外貌特征做出判断和决策,也会观察其行为表现,调整自己的行为模式。基于此,实验采用2(面孔吸引力:高、低)×3(贡献趋势:随机、递增、递减)混合设计,考察面孔吸引力和行为信息对人际信任的交互影响。结果发现,面孔吸引力的直接效应不显著。然而,当同伴的面孔吸引力低(而非高)时,被试在同伴的贡献水平递减时比在同伴的贡献水平递增时对同伴表现出更高的信任水平。
People tend to attach positive beliefs,emotions and attitudes to individuals with attractive faces and take positive actions towards those individuals.However,in social interaction,people not only rely on the physical characteristics of their interactive partners to make their judgments and decisions,but also observe the behavior of their partners and then adjust the pattern of their own behavior.The purpose of the experiment was thus to investigate the effects of facial attractiveness and behavioral information on interpersonal trust.The experiment adopted a mixed experimental design of 2(face attractiveness:high versus low)×3(trend of contribution:random,increasing,versus decreasing).The results showed that the main effect of facial attractiveness was not significant.However,a significant interaction between facial attractiveness and trend of contribution was observed:Participants trusted more in their partners with low(rather than high)facial attractiveness when their level of contribution decreased gradually than when their level of contribution increased gradually.
