N.Katherine Hayles is a contemporary literary theorist.During the more than 30 years of the academic course,her research mainly focuses on digital humanities,comparative media,American literature,and feminist literature.Her research includes not only theoretical explorations based on modern social situations and new knowledge factors but also specific studies on the level of literary practice.Hayles has always paid attention to the relationship between technology and humanities and thus constructed the basic framework of her posthumanism literary theory.In the study of the connotation of Hayles'posthumanism theory,her knowledge background with both liberal arts and science and the interdisciplinary trajectory in her academic research process should be noted.It is also necessary to study the construction of her posthumanism theory from the perspective of comparative media and technological cognition from Hayles'interpretation of the relationship between“digital”and“humanities”,so as to further grasp the realistic concerns and knowledge dimension of her theory.
