Objective To explore the influence of"knowledge, faith and action"health education on the compliance behavior of elderly diabetic patients. Methods Selected 80 elderly diabetic patients who were treated in the hospital from June 2019 to June 2020 as the research objects.According to different intervention models, all the research objects were divided into a control group(n=40)and an study group(n=40),the control group implemented a routine health intervention model. The study group implemented the"Knowledge,Belief and Action"health education intervention model. The compliance behaviors of the two groups of patients, blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels before and after intervention, and disease awareness scores were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in fasting blood glucose levels before intervention,2 h postprandial blood glucose levels, and glycosylated hemoglobin levels between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).After intervention, the study group had fasting blood glucose levels(6.12±0.49)mmol/L and 2 h postprandial blood glucose(6.67±0.73)mmol/L and glycosylated hemoglobin(6.14±0.82)%were significantly lower than those of the control group(7.23±0.45)mmol/L,(7.90±0.56)mmol/L,(7.69±0.43)%,the difference was statistically significant(t=10.552,8.455,10.588,P<0.05);the compliance rate of the control group was 75.00%,which was lower than the study group’s 92.50%,the difference was statistically significant(χ^(2)=4.501,P<0.05);before the intervention, the two groups of patients knew the normal value of fasting blood glucose level, knew that diabetes could be controlled, had no significant symptoms, maybe tested blood sugar, controlled diet’s influence on disease, and compared the scores of controlled diet’s influence on disease, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);after the intervention, the study group knew that the fasting blood glucose level was normal(8.76±1.21)points,knew that diabetes was controllable(9.12±1.17)points,had no significant symptoms, also needed to test blood glucose(9.14±1.35)points,and normal blood sugar also neaded to take hypoglycemic drugs, the scores of impact(8.77±1.94)points and the impact of diet control on disease(9.41±1.26)points scores were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.263,3.319,4.213,2.472,3.116,P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of"knowledge, faith and action"health education for elderly diabetic patients can effectively control the patient's blood glucose level and improve the patient's compliance behavior.
