OBJECTIVE To explore the potential value of biomarkers in evaluating the degree of coronary artery stenosis in pa-tients with coronary heart disease.METHODS The Gensini score(GS)was quantitatively measured by coronary angiography to eval-uate the degree of coronary atherosclerosis.According to the GS classification,156 patients were divided into low GS group(n=48),medium GS group(n=56)and high GS group(n=52).Blood brain natriuretic peptide,glutathione(CPP),phosphodiester-ase 9 A(PDE9 A)and pentapeptidase 3(PTX3)levels.RESULTS The plasma CPP and PTX3 levels in the high GS group were sig-nificantly higher than those in the low GS group. In addition, pearson correlation analysis showed that CPP and PTX3 were positivelycorrelated with GS,CPP and PTX3.CPP and PTX3 had a certain ability to distinguish the degree of coronary artery stenosis.CONCLUSION Non-invasive laboratory testing of CPP and PTX3 could provide new information for risk stratification and disease manage-ment in patients with coronary heart disease before invasive angiography.
