Five N-S-trending borehole extraction profiles through the whole northern area of Xiangshan ore field were drawn by using the borehole trajectory projections, which directly and clearly show the geological features and spatial distribution characteristics of uranium ore bodies. In this area, the fault structure is well-developed,the lower part of Daguding Formation is thick, and the intrusive forms of sub-volcanic rock are various.Through the comprehensive analysis and summary of the ore controlling factors in this area,it was considered that uranium mineralization was mainly controlled by fault structure,sub-volcanic rock and lithological interface in the north of Xiangshan. From the south to the north, the distribution of ore bodies was gradually controlled by intergroup interface to fault structure,sub-volcanic rock and the contact zone between subvolcanic rock and basement metamorphic rock, especially the composite of ore controlling factors and the position of morphological variation, are extremely favorable metallogenic space.Based on the borehole extraction profiles,it was considered that the sub-volcanic rock emplaced in the lower part of Daguding Formation, the basement interface and the sub-volcanic rock concealed in the basement metamorphic rock have good metallogenic potential.
