摘要
谢文郁从《中庸》中读出了“善观念的封闭性”问题,并创造性地提出“本性之善”概念,用以展示《中庸》解决问题的方案。这个解读视角独特,且尽可能追求与文本契合。我的评论围绕“什么是真正的诚(直面并观看本性之善)”展开。一方面,这个问题关系到谢文郁封闭性指控的严密性,他认为:凭借《中庸》的方案,最终结局还是自我封闭。另一方面,“真正的诚”问题联系着《中庸》“教化论”。谢文郁为求解释思路的单纯一贯,既回避这个问题,又不愿多谈《中庸》的“教化论”。
Professor Xie Wenyu suggests that the Zhongyong en-gages in presenting and answering the issues derived from the idea of good,which lead to a closed-mind life.He then proposes a new concept of the natural good to delineate the Zhongyong's solution.This is an insightful textual analysis.In this paper,I would raise up a question:what is the true Cheng(sincerity/creation)?I will analyze Prof.Xie's treatment and demonstrate that the Zhongyong’s solution does not touch the essence of the closed-mind life.In fact,the Zhongyong re-tains a theme of the cultivation by teaching,into which Prof.Xie does not offer enough analysis.
