Mode Innovation or Technology Innovation:Innovation Efficiency and Its Source of The Internet Industry

运用数据包络法实际测度了互联网企业的创新效率,并将该效率分解为技术进步水平、技术效率、规模效率等以明确行业的创新来源。研究表明,互联网行业的创新效率受商业模式创新影响明显。同时,互联网行业中技术创新与商业模式创新互补,且不同规模的互联网企业形成了不同的创新方式,存在着"创新分工"。该结论的得出,不仅对互联网行业实际的创新效率提供了数据支撑,也为阐释互联网行业创新特征提供了新洞察。

We used the Data Envelopment Analysis to actually measure the innovation efficiency of internet companies,then we decomposed the efficiency into specific dimensions such as technological progress,technical efficiency,and scale efficiency to clarify the source of innovation in the Internet industry.Research shows that the innovation efficiency of the Internet industry had been significantly affected by business model innovation.At the same time,technological innovation and business model innovation in the Internet industry complement each other,and Internet companies of different sizes have formed different innovation methods,and there is an"innovative division of labor".This conclusion not only provides data support for the actual innovation efficiency of the Internet industry,but also provides new insights for interpreting the innovative characteristics of the Internet industry.
