“局外人”与“多余人”——论加缪的《局外人》与墨白的《欲望》

“Outsider”and“Unwanted Man”——On Albert Camus’s Outsider and Mo Bai’s Desire

加缪笔下的"局外人"和墨白笔下的"多余人"都是边缘人,都对社会持疏离、批判乃至对抗的姿态。不同的是,加缪笔下的"局外人"映照出了世界的荒诞,而墨白笔下的"多余人"折射出了社会的不公;前者令人苦涩,后者令人愤怒;加缪向个体发出吁请,鼓吹存在主义的自由选择,而墨白将批判的锋刃对准社会,呼唤社会变革和进步。

Camus’s"outsiders"and Mo Bai’s"unwanted man"are both marginal people,and both hold the attitude of alienation,criticism and even confrontation to the society.The difference is that Camus’s"outsider"reflects the absurdity of the world,while Mo Bai’s"unwanted man"reflects social injustice.The former is bitter,while the latter is infuriating.Camus appeals to the individual,advocates the free choice of existentialism,while Mo Bai criticizes society and calls for social change and progress.
