基于可及性视角的英汉学术语篇回指语研究

A Study of Anaphors in English and Chinese Academic Discourse from the Accessibility Perspective

以Ariel可及性标示等级模型为框架,分析了英汉学术期刊语篇中不同形式回指语的分布情况。统计结果显示,学术语篇中名词短语回指语占比非常高,且有较大比例分布在较近的语篇距离位置,这一特征明显不同于故事语篇中的分布情况。通过引入句法角色可及性因素,研究发现学术语篇中很大比例的回指对象出现在小句领属语位置,这一因素降低了对象实体整体的可及性,导致采用名词短语回指形式的倾向性增强。研究结果印证了可及性多因素交互作用研究的必要性和可行性。

Based on Ariel's Accessibility Marker Model,this paper analyzes the distribution of different anaphoric forms in English and Chinese academic journals.According to the statistical data in the research,noun phrase anaphors account for a very high proportion and many of them are close distributed.This distribution pattern is obviously different from the distribution pattern in stories.By incorporating syntactic roles into the analysis model,the study finds that a lot of anaphoric objects appear at the position of genitives,which reduces the overall accessibility of the object entity and leads to an increased tendency to adopt noun phrases.The findings prove the necessity and feasibility of further study on accessibility from a multi-factor perspective.
