《龟兹石窟题记》由《题记报告篇》《图版篇》《研究论文篇》3册组成。其中《题记报告篇》和《图版篇》做到了科学规范、编撰精良;而《研究论文篇》所集结的多篇论文,都是在调查石窟题记时所发现的新材料基础上撰写的,新见迭出,具有极高的学术价值和影响。《龟兹石窟题记》完全是在中国学者主导下对龟兹地区龟兹语资料所做的一次系统整理、释读和研究。它的问世,既是我国西域龟兹语研究的里程碑之作,也标志着我国学者在龟兹语研究领域话语权的确立。

Inscriptions of the Kucha Caves consists of three volumes, Inscriptions, Image Plates, and Research Papers. The first two volumes were compiled in a scientific way that adheres to a high standard of academic excellence and the third volume is a collection of papers that represent a variety of creative and insightful analyses;all three volumes are of great academic value for research on Kucha culture. This collection is a systematic compilation of research completed by Chinese scholars on the cultural and historical materials found in the Kucha region. The publication of these documents is not only a landmark in research on the language of Kucha in the Western Region in China, it also symbolizes the establishment of a Chinese voice in the field of Kucha language research.
