《野草在歌唱》中的服饰话语与殖民政治

摘要 在《野草在歌唱》中,服饰是作者多丽丝·莱辛书写社会现实、表达社会忧思的重要载体之一。着重分析了小说中的服饰是如何再现20世纪中期非洲的殖民权力关系变动的。服饰是人们在个人喜好和特定社会规则之间作出权衡的产物。非洲殖民地来自不同阶级和种族的人们对服饰的选择打破了原有群体的意识形态标签对个体的塑造和束缚,颠覆了殖民体系中的种族阶级界限,传递了莱辛对个体存在的人文关怀。 In the Weeds are Singing,costumes are one of the important carriers for the author Doris Lessing to write about social reality and express social worries.It focuses on analyzing how the costumes in the novel reproduce the changes in the colonial power relations in Africa in the middle of the 20th century.Clothing is the product of a trade-off between people’s personal preferences and specific social rules.The choice of clothing by people from different classes and races in the African colonies broke the ideological label of the original group to shape and restrain individuals,subverted the racial class boundaries in the colonial system,and conveyed Lessing’s humanistic care for the existence of individuals.
