明清石窟给孤独长者与关羽图像组合解析

在陕北石窟和川南摩崖石刻造像中,发现给孤独长者、关羽一对图像组合信息,二者作为佛教圣众胁侍表现,或一起配置在伽蓝殿中,发挥着守护寺院的职能,反映了汉地佛教艺术民间化情况。

Among caves in northern Shaanxi and cliff statues in southern Sichuan,the images of Anathapindada and Guan Yu in a pair have been found.They were either expressed as Buddhist saints,or arranged together in the monastery hall,to guard temples.Such images reflect the civilian process of Buddhist art in China.
