《雅俗际会:宋代话本与文言小说共生关系研究》一书突破文言小说与话本小说研究各自为政的窠臼,将宋代话本与文言小说互动关系的时代背景、发展脉络、内在基础、相应机制、催生的文体形态、产生的文学影响等内容悉数纳入共生的线索与框架中,先后讨论了市民文化与士人文化的双向互动,志怪传奇与话本小说的起伏消长,志怪传奇与士人叙事机理、话本小说与市井叙事机理,士人与市井叙事的异质互补,士人与市井叙事的互动方式,以及士人与市井叙事的互动征迹,最后阐发士人、市民叙事互动与文学雅俗嬗变等内容,在以上诸多方面都可见新的线路与论说。

The monograph The Encounter of Elegance and Popularity:A Study of the Symbiotic Relationship Between Song Dynasty’s Vernacular and Classical Chinese Novels breaks through the tradition of the study of the classical Chinese novels and the vernacular novels by integrating the era background,development context,internal foundation,corresponding mechanism,style form and literary influence of the interaction between the Song vernacular and classical Chinese novels into the symbiotic clues and framework.This paper makes many contributions of its own concerning the two-way interaction between the civic culture and scholar culture,the ups and downs of Ghost Legends and story-telling,the narrative mechanism of Ghost Legends and scholars,the narrative mechanism of story-telling novels and townsfolk,the heterogeneous complementarity between the scholars and townsfolk in story-telling,the interactive mode between scholars and townsfolk in story-telling,and the interactive signs between scholars and townsfolk in story-telling.It finally elaborates on the interaction between the story-telling of the scholars and townsfolk and the evolvement from elegance to vulgarity.
