Shaoxing-Born Translators and Their Translation Thoughts

绍兴是一个有着深厚文化底蕴的历史名城,涌现出了一大批引领中国翻译事业的翻译名家,如蔡元培、鲁迅、周作人、周建人、胡愈之、董秋芳、孙大雨、罗大冈、王佐良、方梦之、罗新璋等,他们为我国的翻译事业做出了杰出贡献。从翻译史的角度梳理他们的主要译事活动,评析他们的译学思想,有助于弘扬绍兴文化名人的功绩,推进绍兴地方文化史的研究。

Shaoxing is a historical city with a profound culture,where have emerged a number of distinguished translators,among whom are Cai Yuanpei,Lu Xun,Zhou Zuoren,Zhou Jianren,Hu Yuzhi,Dong Qiufang,Sun Dayu,Luo Dagang,Wang Zuoliang,Fang Mengzh,Luo Xinzhang,etc.They have made great contributions to the cause of translation in China.From the views of translation history,this paper aims to recount their translation activities and comment on their translation thoughts in the hope of promoting the achievements of Shaoxing cultural celebrities and enhancing the study of Shaoxing local cultural history.
