Transcranial electrical stimulation(tES)regulates the activity of neurons in the brain by applying a specific pattern of weak electricity.tES is widely used in neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer disease,Parkinson disease and stroke, and in the improvement of cognition and behavior.Rodent model is an indispensable tool in basic medicine and pre-clinical researches, and tES has great advantages in the application of this model. This review mainly discusses the stimulatory effect and mechanism of tES in rodent models, and summarizes the stimulation parameters of tES.
