Overview of West Lake Scenery and Water System Management in Southern Song Dynasty

南宋时杭州成为王朝都城所在,为更好满足君臣、百姓嬉游享乐,政府对西湖水系及风景发展高度重视。本文以南宋西湖为研究对象,结合历史典籍,研究南宋西湖疏浚实践,最终得出西湖治理对风景发展的影响。南宋历任知府对西湖景区进行改造和维护,使西湖风景愈发迷人,进一步推动杭州城市的风景建设。南宋西湖水系治理成为中国古代城市水利和水景观营造史上杰出案例。

In the Southern Song Dynasty,Hangzhou became the capital of the dynasty.In order to better satisfy the recreation of monarchs,ministers and people,the government attached great importance to the development of the West Lake water system and scenery.This article takes the West Lake in the Southern Song Dynasty as the research object,combines historical classics to study the dredging practices of the West Lake in the Southern Song Dynasty,and finally concludes the influence of the West Lake management on the landscape development.The successive prefects in the Southern Song Dynasty have renovated and maintained the West Lake scenic area,which made the West Lake scenery more attractive and further promoted the scenery construction of Hangzhou city.The management of the West Lake water system in the Southern Song Dynasty has become an outstanding case in the history of urban water conservancy and water landscape construction in ancient China.
