The great social revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of China is known as a history of the Chinese nation striving for independence and prosperity,realizing the dream of the great rejuvenation,and pursuing the broad ideal of communism.The transformation of the principal contradictions in China determines the historical stages of social revolution,including the new-democratic revolution,the socialist revolution,the period of socialist construction,the period of reform and opening up,and the period of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Based on the fundamental purpose of serving the Chinese people,considering the subjective and objective conditions of social development,the profound connotation of the great social revolution has been constructed through constant self-revolution based on the principle of eliminating the old and establishing the new.The revolutionary characteristics of the unity of abiding by the right path and opening up and innovation,the unity of stage and integrity,the unity of progressiveness and tortuousness,and the unity of violence and peace have gradually taken shape.Socialism with Chinese characteristics is the continuation of the great social revolution.To achieve the ultimate victory of this revolution,we must adhere to the guiding principle of Marxism,adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China,and promote the continuous development of the great social revolution under the mutual influence of self-revolution and social revolution.
