A Study on the Structure Shi-in Chinese as a Pragmatic Marker of Approval

以赞同类语用标记“是—”系为例,对其形式变体、分类特点及所构建的语篇模式和语义衔接关系进行分析,并探讨赞同类语用标记“是—”系的语用功能。“是—”系在会话中具有续接话题和结束话题的话语衔接功能,其人际互动功能体现为表示应答、彰显权势关系、礼貌委婉及表示反语。

The paper analyzes the variations,classification features,discourse patterns and semantic cohesion of the structure shi-and explores its pragmatic functions as a marker of approval.The result shows that the structure has the discourse function of following and ending the topic,and the interpersonal interaction functions of responding,highlighting power relations,expressing politeness and euphemism,and showing irony.
