As one of the branches of Chinese bronze culture,the Guangxi bronze Yong(甬)bell shows the regional changes of bronze culture.In terms of the historical development,it has been influenced by many cultures,including the Central Plains culture,as well as the Ouluo(瓯骆)and Chu(楚)cultures.At the same time,it displays distinctive regional characteristics,especially in the diversity of its artistic features,such as the alternate use of multiple patterns,the contrast and interaction of lines and patterns,and symmetrical plastic arts.The Guangxi bronze Yong bell's blending of a great variety of art forms further reveals a diversity of cultural connotations showing the spiritual world and aesthetic consciousness of the Xi'ou(西瓯)people throughout different historical periods.
