In recent years, the Republican Party of the US has held negative perceptions about China, put forward confrontational policies and legislation against China and maintained ultra-tough stance toward China. With the ultratough stance toward China, the Republican party and American conservatives have aimed at starting a new culture war in foreign policy and national security and gaining political leverage under the background of political polarization.The strategy taken by the Republican Party not only has intensified partisan conflicts and societal collapse in the US,but also obstructed the development of China-US relations. Consequently, the China factor is unprecedentedly shaping the transformation of the US national security strategy.
