中西方文化在大学英语教材中呈现方式的比较研究 被引量:11

摘要 2020年版《大学英语教学指南》(以下简称《指南》)对大学英语教材的编写、选用等提出了指导性意见,明确提出大学英语教材内容选择应自觉融入社会主义核心价值观和中华优秀传统文化。鉴于以往教材文化内容不足和改编教材的必要性,采用陈向明的典型个案抽样方法,选择三套教材作为研究对象,按拜拉姆的文化内容分类模式,分析中国文化在大学英语教材中的呈现方式,并与西方文化的呈现方式进行了比较,最后探讨了文化呈现方式对“失语现象”的影响。结果显示:中西方文化在教材内容上呈现的相似处在于复现率低、缺乏相对应的练习;不同处则为中国文化内容在课本中的呈现之处较为集中、呈现中国文化内容的栏目数量少、呈现的模态形式较为单一,因而难以得到师生的关注和重视;从文化呈现方式角度对教材改进提出了建议,以期更好地服务于《指南》要求,帮助学生提升文化自信。 The new edition of College English Teaching Guide in 2020 puts forward guidelines on the compilation and selection of college English textbooks,which shows that the choosing of college English textbook content should be consciously integrated with core socialist values and excellent traditional Chinese culture.Due to the lack of cultural content of former textbooks and the necessity of adopting the textbooks,three sets of textbooks were chosen as the research object by adopting typical case sampling proposed by Chen Xiangming.According to Byram's classification mode of cultural content,the presentation way of Chinese culture in college English textbooks was analyzed,its comparison with the presentation way of Western culture in college English textbooks was made,and the influence of the presentation way of culture on the phenomenon of aphasia was discussed.The result shows that in terms of similarities in the presentation of Chinese and western cultures in textbook's content,there is a low-repetition rate and lack of corresponding cultural exercises after presentation.The differences are as follows:the presentation of Chinese cultural content is relatively concentrated,and the number of columns presenting Chinese cultural content is small;the modality of the presentation of Chinese cultural content lacks variety,which makes it unlikely to attract teachers'and students'attention.Therefore,some suggestions on the adoption of the textbooks are put forward from the perspective of presentation,so as to better serve for the requirements of College English Teaching Guide and help students strengthen cultural confidence.
