Objective To objectively evaluate the treatment of chronic hepatitis B with purigation therapy in traditional Tibetan medicine. Methods A collection of 50 CHB patients who had been hospitalized with Tibetan medicine catarrhal therapy were collected, their case data were reviewed in detail, and follow-up was conducted. While retrospectively summarized, the focus was on the analysis of patients’liver function recovery, hepatitis B two and a half and HBV-DNA.Results The follow-up found that the liver function of the patients after treatment was significantly improved compared with that before treatment, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).HBeAg and HBV-DNA decreased significantly compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The patient’s coagulation function also improved(P<0.05).In addition, blood routine and renal function after follow-up did not change significantly compared with before treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion The purgation therapy of traditional Tibetan medicine has a certain clinical effect on the treatment of active chronic hepatitis B.However, more accurate conclusions still need to be verified by high-quality and large-sample trials.
