To study the impact of flipping classroom on the academic achievements of students at higher vocational colleges, the author conducted a meta-analysis of 28 experimental and quasi experimental studies. The results show that the combined-effect value of the random effect model is 0.487(P<0.05),indicating that the flipping classroom can improve the academic achievements of students at higher vocational colleges. In addition, the subject taught, the class size, the experiment cycle and the knowledge type have differing regulation effects on the impact of flipping classroom. To give full play to the positive influence of flipping classroom,it is necessary to realize its great potential for application at higher vocational colleges, choose different teaching strategies according to subject characteristics and knowledge types, and arrange class-hour cycles and class sizes that match the teaching tasks.
