数字普惠金融对我国消费不平等的影响研究——来自中国家庭金融调查及县级数据的证据

Research on the Impact of Digital Financial Inclusion on Consumption Inequality in China:Evidence from CHFS Data and County-level Data

基于2017年中国家庭金融调查(CHFS)数据和县级数字普惠金融指数,实证分析了数字普惠金融对我国消费不平等的影响。研究发现,数字普惠金融的发展可以显著缩小居民间的消费不平等程度。数字普惠金融可以通过缩小居民的收入不平等以及对居民消费水平边际影响的差异两种方式来降低消费不平等程度。此外,数字普惠金融的发展对减少消费不平等的效应在不同区域之间、不同债务收入比以及不同受教育程度的家庭之间均存在显著的异质性。具体而言,数字普惠金融对缩小东部沿海地区的消费不平等的效应最大;随着家庭债务收入比的增加,数字普惠金融缩小消费不平等的作用逐渐减少;相对于未接受过教育和教育水平较高的家庭而言,数字普惠金融对缩小教育水平较低家庭的消费不平等的效应最大。

Based on the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)data in 2017 and the county-level digital inclusive financial index,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of digital inclusive financial on consumption inequality.The study found that the development of digital inclusive finance can significantly reduce the consumption inequality.Digital inclusive financial can reduce the level of consumption inequality by reducing the income inequality of residents and generating the difference in the marginal impact of residents’consumption levels.In addition,digital inclusive finance has significant heterogeneity among regions,different debt-to-income ratios and education level of families.Digital inclusive financial has the greatest effect on reducing consumption inequality in the eastern region.The higher debt-to-income ratio of households,the smaller effect that digital inclusive finance reduces the consumption inequality.Compared with families with no education or higher education,digital financial inclusion has the greatest effect on reducing consumption inequality in families who have completed compulsory education.
